The Dassault Falcon 7X is a three-engine, long-range business jet, and its cabin is the main reason people charter one. This review covers the 7X interior: cabin size, the common floor plans, seats, lavatories, whether there is a bed or a shower, and how far it can fly. It uses Dassault’s published specifications, Dassault’s own pre-owned aircraft listings and the EASA type certificate data sheet. We left out cabin noise, cabin altitude and other figures we could not confirm in a manufacturer or regulator source.

What the cabin feels like
The 7X cabin is 6 ft 2 in high and 7 ft 8 in wide, so most adults can stand up and walk the aisle. At 39 ft 1 in, it is long enough for three separate seating areas plus a galley and lavatory. Dassault lists 28 large windows, a lot of daylight for a cabin this size.
The 7X shares its cabin height and width with the Falcon 900LX and Falcon 2000LX, per Dassault. The 7X is longer: 39 ft 1 in, compared with 33 ft 2 in for the 900LX and 26 ft 2 in for the 2000LX. The extra length is what makes room for a third lounge.
Dassault’s 7X material describes a cabin system controlled from seat-side switches or an iPad running Falcon apps. It covers lighting, temperature, the sound system and window shades, plus a multimedia server and moving-map airshow. For connectivity, Dassault’s FalconConnect options include Iridium, Ka-band and Gogo Avance L5 air-to-ground. Dassault notes that some of these features are optional, and older 7X cabins vary, so we confirm what is installed on each aircraft.
Falcon 7X floor plans and seats
Dassault shows two typical 7X floor plans, with 14 and 12 passenger seats, each with a fully equipped service galley and a spacious aft lavatory. Real aircraft differ from one tail to the next. Two 7X cabins in Dassault’s own pre-owned listings show the range:

In a typical 14-seat cabin, the forward club works for meetings and meals and the mid-cabin dining group seats four at a table. The aft lounge with two divans is where passengers stretch out on overnight flights. EASA certifies the 7X for up to 19 passengers, but Dassault’s typical layouts use 12 or 14 seats.
Does the Falcon 7X have a bedroom or a shower?
Common 7X layouts, like the 14-seat cabin above, split the cabin into three seating areas rather than a private stateroom. The Dassault 7X documents we checked describe club seating, a dining area and divans, not a separate bedroom with a fixed bed. For overnight flights, the aft divans are the usual place to sleep. Whether the seats or divans in a particular aircraft are approved as berths depends on that aircraft, so we confirm it on every quote.
The Dassault 7X documents we checked do not list a shower. Dassault offers an aft shower as an option on the Falcon 8X, the 7X’s longer successor. If a shower or a dedicated bedroom matters, tell us and we will look at 8X and larger cabins too.
Range: where a Falcon 7X can fly
Dassault lists the 7X range at 5,950 nm with eight passengers, three crew, Mach 0.80 and NBAA IFR reserves. Here are great-circle distances for some common long trips. The operator confirms each leg against passengers, bags, winds, runway, weather and reserves.

Dassault also notes that the 7X is certified for steep approaches and approved for London City Airport, which is closer to central London than most business jet airports. The operator confirms whether a specific aircraft and crew are approved for it.
Falcon 7X vs the newer Falcons
Dassault’s current new-aircraft lineup no longer includes the 7X; it now appears in Dassault’s pre-owned listings. EASA’s type certificate shows that the Falcon 8X is the 7X with a fuselage stretch (modification M1000), sold under the 8X name. - Which floor plan? Ask for the layout of the actual aircraft: 12, 13 or 14 seats, one or two lavatories, and galley size.
- Sleeping: Ask which seats or divans are approved as berths, and how many people can lie flat.
- Wi-Fi: Ask which connectivity is installed (air-to-ground only, or satellite for oceanic legs) and whether it is working.
- Crew: EASA requires two pilots; long trips may add a flight attendant or extra crew, which can use a seat.
- Nonstop or not: For very long trips, ask the operator to confirm the leg with your passengers, bags and the season’s winds.
